The Four Wheel Drive Club in association with the 4x4’s Negombo put out a phenomenal show thus far in the 4x4 calendar. The Rivers Edge Track in Kochikade stood up to the task of 30 exciting rounds of racing with the track conditions remaining the same for all competitors.

The first 4x4 event organized for 2007 FWDC Club Trophy was worked off at the Rivers Edge 4x4 Track-Kochchikade on the 25th February 2007. This event was organized by the FWDC with collaboration of the newly formed 4x4’s Club – Negambo.

The 4x4 Challenge 2006 was successfully worked off from the 1st to the 4th December 2006 in Daraniyagala. 19 competitors took part out of the 20 registered. This year the Four Wheel Drive Club (FWDC) with the assistance of SLARDAR organised an event with variety. A combination of rally driving and obstacle driving was introduced to the competitors for the first time in the event history.
